Defend Our Public Postal Service
The public service mission of the Postal Service has made it one of our nation’s most trusted institutions. However, this essential service is under threat if we do not act now.
Recent reports indicate that the Trump Administration is preparing to issue an Executive Order to fire the USPS Board of Governors and place the Postal Service under the control of the Commerce Department. This move is not about improving efficiency or saving taxpayer dollars—it represents the first step toward dismantling our public Postal Service and shifting control to private, profit-driven interests.
The law is clear: the Postal Service belongs to the people, and only the legally appointed Board of Governors—nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate—can hire and fire the Postmaster General. Bypassing this process would be an assault on our public service and the workers who rely on it every day.
The American people deserve a Postal Service that remains true to its public mission and continues to serve communities across the country. Add your voice and tell your congressmen, “Hands Off the Public Postal Service!” Protect our public Postal Service. Keep it—it’s yours.
